Dearborn, Michigan Wedding DJ - Weddings, Private Parties and Corporate Events
My Favorite Dearborn Brides
Why I Adore The People of Dearborn
More so than any other city in the Metro Detroit Area, Dearborn is my playground. In 2003, I began my hosting career at the Rose by the Road, where I served as a karaoke host for three years. I've also worked several clubs along the Michigan Avenue strip, including a three year stint at the New Place Lounge and a two year placement at Silky Sullivan's. For six years, I worked at Hops and Barley, a quaint Irish pub near the border of Dearborn and Melvindale.
My History and Work Experience
I graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism. In my '20s, I worked as an English teacher and newspaper reporter. Around 2004, I began moonlighting as a nightclub disc jockey for fun and extra cash. I had no idea that the women I encountered would transform me. When I heard that many Michigan Wedding DJs were charging double my rate for private events, I put together a plan to offer local brides more options for less money. Words cannot express how much joy these amazing women have brought to my life. Some of my brides still invite me to their parties and visit me at home. I enjoy watching their careers blossom and seeing their children grow.
My Sound Equipment
It's important to remain competitive in an ever-changing industry based upon new and better technology. A couple years ago, I upgraded all five of my systems to new titanium technology that's easier to pack and lighter to carry without sacrificing power or clarity. I never buy used equipment or settle for anything less than trusted brand names such as Mackie, Peavy and JBL. I remain dedicated to buying new equipment every three years to ensure that my systems are never out of date. I carry a complete backup system to every event. That means two computers, two amplifiers and two sets of speakers!
My Lighting Equipment
Visual presentation is extremely important. I have a wide range of lighting equipment to deliver advanced lightscaping packages that rival "upscale" companies charging double my rate. My Price List
NOTE: I don't charge for same-room receptions because there's no need to break down a heavy system and carry the components to another location for the reception. (That process takes 45 minutes.) However, the addition of a same-room ceremony shouldn't increase the total package hours by more than about 45 minutes.
